I am longing to un-feel
I am desperately seeking to dis-remember
I am actively trying to forget the sensation
Of almost being in love
And so now I don't hurt
And I don't cry
And I don't worry
And I don't wonder
And I don't smile
And I don't move forward
And I don't release the silence
And I keep the no vacancy sign lit up
Though nothing lives here anymore
Because I am purposely trying to dissolve the notion
Of almost being in love
