Darkness
You and me?
We are two different shades of darkness
Grasping for rays of light
Amongst the nothingness of space
Against the cold vacuum
We long for the energy that makes us whole
We long for the warmth we cannot create on our own
But is there a difference
Between dark matter, which holds in place the very fabric of the universe
And a black hole, the remains of a star that now sucks down every photon in its path?
Maybe.
But we are two different shades of darkness
One dormant, one active
Both in longing for light
