Work of Art
Trying to explain
The true nature of myself
Is like trying to describe
A sculpture
To a painting on canvas, framed.
Though elegantly conceived
With each brushstroke evoking emotion
A painting only provides
An illusion of depth
While a sculpture thrives
In three dimensions
Or more.
So please, I ask
Don't speak ill of me
Because I don't fit within
Your framework of beauty
Or because I measure
Of sharp angles and dynamic curves
We are all magnificent
We are all fantastic
We are all divinely commissioned
Works of art.
