Not being the first on the scene
Geared up and
Ready for action

Not listening to the police scanner
And taking the secret phone
Off the hook for a while
Sometimes
Self care means
Allowing the other heroes
A chance to jump in the action
And save the day
Self care doesn’t mean
You are less powerful or capable
Self care doesn’t mean
You are less super, less fly
But with great power, comes great responsibility
You have the responsibility
To take care
Of yourself.
