[7x5] confession #3

Monday evening, as the warm sun began its final descent, I found myself in the yard raking leaves. Save for the scarf wound neatly around my head, I had no qualms about what I looked like. Bits of dry debris disobediently followed the short wind gusts, disrupting my attempt at a pattern, but I just shook my head and kept working. I waved at neighbors and passerby (very unusual for paranoid me), I checked my tracker to see how many steps I had taken. When Dad came out to join me, we laughed about former days and he sang (rather tiredly) one hit wonder songs from the early 2000’s. I am now officially one of those ladies you always see in their yards, puttering about just to be outdoors.  I’m not even mad though. I guess I am older.
